Tristram Marine has designed an additional version of the already successful 741 Offshore powerboat.
Using identical hull moulds, hardtop and cabin moulds the Hamilton-based manufacturer has developed a sterndrive option to fulfill game fishermen’s requests. The main engine of choice is the Mercruiser 3 litre 265 horsepower TDI diesel. Petrol options of 6-cylinder and 8-cylinder will also be available.
The new sterndrive model incorporates a large boarding platform with live bait tanks and walk through stern as seen in the 741 Offshore outboard model. Side profiles of the two models will be identical. Practical rear seating is incorporated in a shallow engine cover allowing seating for three passengers or a game chair platform. The unique large cockpit as featured in all Tristram Offshore models will be well appointed to accommodate all divers, serious anglers and family fisherman. Back to back seating and a galley will feature with an optional fridge. The same popular galley layout as the outboard 741 will also be used in the new model.
The much anticipated new 741 Offshore sterndrive model will be released alongside the all new Tristram 701 hardtop mid-September.
