Alloy Yachts’ CaryAli has won Best Displacement Motoryacht below 500GT at the World Superyacht Awards 2014
The 39.16-metre explorer yacht, launched in Auckland in 2012, has had a bumper run through awards season picking up a hat-trick of accolades. This latest award follows the Best Exterior Styling & Design for a Displacement Motor Yacht 30-60 Meters, presented to the yacht’s owners at the Showboats Design Awards in Austria in February 2014 and Best Motoryacht 24-40m at the International Superyacht Society Awards in Fort Lauderdale in 2013.
CaryAli’s owners were in Amsterdam to accept the award, which was presented at Het Scheepvaartmuseum, Amsterdam’s National Maritime Museum. The ceremony, which celebrates excellence in superyacht build and design, is one of the most anticipated events in the superyacht calendar. CaryAli comes from a long pedigree of award winning custom yachts built by Alloy; and yard management and team were very proud to see this stunning custom yacht continue to receive the superyacht industry’s approbation.
Chris Brown, project coordinator at Alloy Yachts, was on hand to celebrate with the owners and also to present the Alloy Yachts’ sponsored Voyager Award to joint winners Exuma and Zeepaard. The Voyager Award credits superyacht owners who have undertaken a passage of an unusual or exploratory nature. The award is in keeping with Alloy’s approach, building yachts which are safe enough, powerful enough and laden with the innovative technology their owners require to roam the world.
