New Zealand’s leading manufacturer and distributor of quality marine safety equipment, Hutchwilco Limited, has appointed John Roberts as Commercial Projects Manager.
With over 20 years of commercial marine experience, Roberts has previously held positions at RFD New Zealand and Safety at Sea.
In what is a newly created position for Hutchwilco, Roberts will be focused on servicing the commercial, superyacht and offshore sailing markets across New Zealand and the Pacific.
“We’re pleased and excited to welcome John aboard here at Hutchwilco and know he will be a familiar face to the wider commercial vessel and offshore sailing sector,” says Hutchwilco Operations Manager, Bernard Orme.
“As a company we are looking to expand our capabilities and reach into these very important markets not only here in New Zealand but across the Pacific.”
“John has extensive knowledge of survey requirements for commercial vessels and his appointment will further strengthen our position in the market particularly when it comes to the technical sales support.”
Roberts will be based out of Hutchwilco’s head office in Glenn Innes, but much of his time will be spent located at Wilco Marine Services in Westhaven – a subsidiary company of Hutchwilco.
Wilco Marine Services is a service centre in Westhaven capable of servicing lifejackets, life rafts, immersion suits, and locator beacons, as well as inflatable boat repairs.
In New Zealand and across the Pacific, Hutchwilco is the authorised distributor for Ocean Safety life rafts, ACR beacons and lights, Jon Buoy man overboard systems, Pains Wessex distress flares, and a range of SOLAS lifejackets, immersion suits and other lifesaving equipment.
