Rayglass Boats will release the latest addition to their popular Legend series, the new Legend 2350, at the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show in Auckland in May.
The new 2350 will fit between two of Rayglass’s most popular models, the Legend 2500 and the Legend 2200, combining the best features of both.
“The 2350 is a completely new model,” says Rayglass CEO Dave Larsen. “It boasts the same wide beam as the 2500 and has an even larger aft platform. Yet it is considerably lighter and therefore easier to tow.”
The new Legend 2350 will be powered either by a 200hp to 300hp outboard or by the latest VW TDi diesel. This is an extremely powerful, lightweight, 265hp 3-litre engine that is also incredibly fuel-efficient. As with the 2500 and the 2800, the inboard engine will be housed in a specially designed transom, meaning there is no engine box to occupy valuable cockpit space.
The new 2350 will also feature Rayglass’s unique lockable rod lockers and a huge amount of practical, underfloor stowage.
The new model will also boast the largest fishing and swimming platform yet seen on a 7-metre cabin boat.
“Combine all that with a large, uncluttered cockpit, a true bluewater hull, huge cruising range and Rayglass’s trademark quality of build and finish,” says Larsen, “and the new 2350 will be perfect for Kiwis wanting to chase gamefish, overnight and go fishing with the family.”
