Thompson Marine Ltd was established in 1990 as a division of Thompson Lawnmowers & Chainsaws operating from Rotorua (New Zealand).
On the 1st September 2010 Thompson Marine Ltd formed its own entity and moved its premises to 31 Fairy Springs Rd, Rotorua. This move has provided more space and easier accessibilty for our customers and a much larger area for our workshop and new/used boats.
Ron and Julie Baskett have owned and operated the business since 1996 and started to build and provide Seaboss boats to the market in 1997.
Seaboss boats have been developed and refined over the last 19 years to meet the needs of New Zealand boaties, providing a strong and reliable hull to meet the demands of boating on our sea and lakes.
Our Seaboss range starts from a 550 Cuddy cabin and moves up to a 700HT, all of which are customised to accommodate the customers’ standard of finish. Our emphasis is provide a quality custom built product with a value for money price.
Built to spec
We have also provided boats outside our standard range in varying sizes up to 8.2m and in different configurations including Targa Tops. We are happy to discuss your special and individual requirements.
Seaboss Boats have built in strength through our existing Seaboss owners that are extremely happy with their Seaboss Boat package.
Mercury and Honda Authorised Dealers
We are an authorised Mercury and Honda dealership for both sales and service. We have a large workshop with qualified mechanics that can repair your motors, trailers and boats. Our retail shop has all your necessary supplies for your boat/motor/trailer and if we don’t then our friendly staff are happy to source your requirement.
